That sounded too good to be true... Me a firebrand? Hard to fathom. But I admit to be a hopeless romantic... Blame it on the media & too many romantic endings they have... I'm really not too sure about the cute part though...

20 Questions to a Better Relationship

Got this off Weijin's blog. (Hello, Weijin! How r ya?) And here's the first try...

eXpressive: 7/10
Practical: 2/10
Physical: 5/10
Giver: 4/10

You are a XSYT--Expressive Sentimental Physical Taker. This makes you a Firebrand.

You are volatile, sexy and sexually driven. You're magnetic and fascinating, but you don't really enjoy playing the field -- it makes you nervous and preys on your insecurites. But when you fall for someone you fall hard.

You tend to over-analyze things, so the slightest comment or action from your significant other can send you into a tailspin. You crave attention and validation from your loved ones, so if your friends don't like your partner or your partner doesn't like your friends it makes you suffer. Unfortunately the two are often in conflict -- you have excellent insight with your friends, but in a relationship you are blind. Trust your friends!

You blow hot and cold, with big highs and big lows. This makes the bad times very bad but the good times very good, so you tend to stay in a problem relationship much longer than you should. But when a relationship fails, you hold a grudge. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but make sure your grudge doesn't cloud your vision the other way!

What would help you most in your relationships is confidence. You need someone who can help you feel good about yourself and not worse.

You can be needy and jealous. Fortunately you are cute as hell.

Of the 201119 people who have taken this quiz, 5.6 % are this type.

"In a good History, the Judgement must be eminent; because the goodnesse consisteth, in the Method, in the Truth, and in the Choyse of the actions that are most profitable to be known. Fancy has no place, but onely in adorning the stile."

--Leviathan, Ch. VIII

I'll keep that in mind...

HASH(0x8bd5020)
You're a very mellow, care-free person. Your
exactly what calm, cool, and collected mean.
You never overreact or panic in a bad situation
and you always know what to do. Everyone goes
to you for advice because you never lose your
head so your very reliable. You tend to take
everything in stride, like in school your moto
is just sit back and relax not to say you dont
pay attention and work, but you dont overexert
yourself. Even though people come to you for
counciling(sp?) you can still be very quite,
your not good with making new friends, but your
extremely close to the ones you have. Remember
its ok to put your emotions out there even
though there is a chance they might get hurt.
Also in school sometimes its good to stress out
a little, just because you think you dont need
to study doesnt mean you should'nt, and also
try to push yourself more even though you might
be good where you are doesnt mean you can,t be
better. Check out my new YYH Series ~A

Today

So i didn't go in the end. But I've never seen so many people in school so dressed up all at once. Strangely I didn't feel affected. Usually that would create some cause for concern but not this time. Maybe coz I'm really not that interested in the positions offered.

So I zapped some books, hung out in the library poring over Machiavelli and Hobbes and basically did some loser things while the rest of the world's out enjoying the start of the mid-term break. And the Chingay preview is on today too! Really felt like I'm missing out on life.

But I did figure out my career choice. I've been constantly diverted from it, but I found it again recently. As for what it is, ask me if you really wanna know. ;p

Right, going back to Leviathan now. Tataz! Ohmmmmm.....

Hobbes the pacifist???

"Whatsoever therefore is consequent to a time of Warre, where every man is Enemy to every man; the same is consequent to the time, wherein men live without other security, than what their own strength, and their own invention shall furnish them withall. In such a condition, there is no place for Industry; because the fruit thereof is uncertain: and consequently no Culture of the Earth; no Navigation, nor use of the commodities that may be imported by Sea; no commodious Building; no Instruments of moving, and removing such things as require much force; no Knowledge of the face of the Earth; no account of Time; no Arts; no Letters; no Society; and which is worst of all, continuall feare, and danger of violent death; And the life of man, solitary, poore, nasty, brutish, and short."

--Leviathan, Ch. XIII

Or is he, like Macaulay, proclaiming the virtues of modernity by listing the ills of the contrary?

Well-rested

Been staying at home for the past 2 days. It really feels good to have as little to do with school as possible. Though I was spending my time catching up with histo readings. But I'm glad the spate of presentations are finally over, and the mid-term break is finally here, which adds to the fun. The semester has been so far just punishing for the mind.

Should I go for the P & G seminar tomorrow? I'm not really interested in that industry, and it requires me to dress even for that. I guess they can't be blamed, counting the times recruiters have to deal with sloppy dressing on campus. And there was that news report about NUS undergrads' unbecoming dressing. And it's so late. A far stretch after end of class. So maybe I won't go. Anyways there are lots of opportunities out there... Anyone of you out there going?

Okay, going off now... actually still feeling sleepy after 2 days at home... I must be getting lazy... have to get to get back on my exercise routine... haven't run or swum in a while...
